Abstract: This article analyzes the linguopragmatic features of personal deixis in academic and informative texts based on the IMRAD model. The main goal of the study is to determine the use, functions, and communicative significance of personal deixis units in different types of discourse. In the process of research, academic texts and one of the “6 Minute English” texts were analyzed as an example of informative discourse. The results show that in academic texts, personal deixis is used cautiously and serves to maintain scientific objectivity, while in informative texts it is actively used, involving the reader or listener in the process. First-person pronouns express the author's position. Second-person pronouns are used to address the audience. Third-person pronouns also play an important role in ensuring reference and text cohesion. The article found that personal deixis is a grammatical, pragmatic, and communicative tool.
