Abstract: The teaching of English to young learners has become an increasingly important area of language education in a globalized world. This article explores effective approaches that enhance language acquisition among primary school students. It focuses on learner-centered methods such as Communicative Language Teaching (CLT), Total Physical Response (TPR), and task-based learning, which promote active participation and meaningful communication. The study also highlights the importance of integrating games, storytelling, visual aids, and digital technologies to create an engaging and supportive learning environment. Furthermore, the role of the teacher as a facilitator rather than a traditional instructor is emphasized in fostering motivation and confidence in young learners. The findings suggest that combining interactive methods with a positive classroom atmosphere significantly improves learners’ language development, comprehension, and long-term retention. Overall, the article concludes that effective English teaching for young learners requires a balanced approach that addresses cognitive, emotional, and social needs.
