Abstract

Abstract: The function of stylistics in enhancing students' language proficiency in foreign language learning environments is examined in this article. As a subfield of linguistics that focuses on the study of language style, stylistics gives students the tools they need to more successfully evaluate and comprehend both literary and nonliterary texts. Students learn more about how meaning is created and how language works in various communicative contexts by concentrating on lexical, syntactic, phonetic, and semantic stylistic techniques. The study demonstrates how incorporating style analysis into language instruction improves students' critical thinking, writing, and reading comprehension. By assisting students in identifying tone, register, and stylistic variance in real texts, it also promotes the growth of communicative ability. Additionally, stylistics makes language acquisition more context-based and relevant by bridging the gap between linguistic understanding and literary appreciation. The results indicate that pupils' overall language ability is much enhanced by stylistic awareness. As a result, integrating stylistic techniques into foreign language programs can be seen as a successful educational tactic for promoting deeper text engagement and advanced language proficiency.
